NEW YORK NEW YORK

I have just come back from 4 days of research in New York. It was damn cold but very interseting. I hooked up with James from Hong Kong and my Aussie friend Amy from Gorman who was there checking out the Coterie show. I had never seen the Apple store by Central Park. You enter through a glass box on the street and head underground. Well worth a visit. I stayed at the Hudson Hotel on 58th. The bar in the hotel seems to never sleep which is a pain if you want to relax after a long flight from Las Vegas but great to people watch. Too many stores to mentioned got my attention but I would say that Nom de Guerre, Rivington Club, Earnest Sewn, Jeans shop and the Prada store are worth a visit.

A brand that seemed to be making a stir was The year of........from Tony Magnetic. Limited edition heavily embellished limited numbers delivered in a can.

Hello Hong Kong again..

I was reading Jeff Staple's blog on Saturday and he talks about his life in the air.....I really connected with that after another 12 hour flight to Hong Kong. So that's Malaysia, Barcelona and now Hong Kong in one month....Feb holds Vegas and NYC.....

My friend James picked me up from the airport in his new "car" if you can call it that......Then took me to Soho for dinner. Man it was spicy. Have you ever seen so many Chillies on one plate???

Bread and Butter Part 2

My camera was lost along the way but here are a couple of shots from the 5 year anniversary party of Bread and Butter. Our old friend Eric Musgrave gave a speech and I bumped into Karl one of the owners of Bread and Butter, Rob Dunk who is VP of the Lagerfeld denim collection. Dean Cooper of Latitude and Alex from View2 magazine and fresh from working on some Nike concepts also showed up. Oh and the owner of Atelier La Durance getting a helping hand with something from Ulla my assistant....

Bread and Butter Part 1

A new year and another Bread and Butter. Barcelona is a great location for a fashion fair. The sun was shining and it felt like spring. Snask was working with three stands at the show. Our main client the Bauhaus group from Hong Kong had two stands for its in house brands that we manage in Europe and the US. TOUGH jeansmith and Salad. The TOUGH jeansmith stand was 101 sq mtrs in the main Denim hall. The build up......
